We only see the parts we need to.
Waitlot IQ is the rare driver tool that doesn't want to know everything about you. Location is sampled only at lot boundaries — never your trips, routes, or destinations. We have no advertising business and never sell data.
The boundaries we hold ourselves to
We collect your email, name, and the entries you make in the app (vehicle details, trip classifications). Location is checked only at airport lot boundaries — your trips and destinations are never tracked. No third-party analytics, no advertising identifiers, no data brokers. Account deletion is available in the app and removes your data within 30 days.

Questions drivers ask first.
Does Waitlot IQ tell Uber or Lyft I'm in the lot?
No. Waitlot IQ is not affiliated with any rideshare platform. We have no integration with them. Whatever queue the platform itself maintains is entirely separate from what Waitlot IQ shows you. The "queue rank by check-in" the app displays is the order in which other Waitlot IQ users checked in — not the order in which rideshare platforms will dispatch rides.
Will it kill my battery?
It shouldn't. We use iOS region monitoring (the same low-power system Apple's own Reminders app uses for location triggers) for lot detection. Continuous GPS only runs while you're inside the lot, where you're parked anyway. Realistic drain across an 8-hour shift is in the single digits of percent.
Which airports are supported?
We're starting with a small set of airports we can survey carefully — RDU, CLT, ATL, and LAX at launch. Lot boundaries are drawn by hand from satellite imagery. We'd rather support a few airports really well than dozens approximately. Email us if there's an airport you want added.
What does it cost?
Free during beta. We're not selling data and we're not running ads. If we ever charge, it'll be a clear subscription with a generous free tier — and existing users will get advance notice.
Can I use it without giving location permission?
You can use the app's dashboard and historical analytics with location turned off, but the automatic check-in and check-out won't work — that's the part that needs to know when you cross the lot boundary. You can also manually force a check-in from the dashboard if you'd prefer to keep location off.
